Dear Belgium Bears and sympathizers,

Now that the New Year’s reception and announcement of our 2025 calendar have been completed, we can get started with our next activity.
We are going on a cultural tour and plan a guided visit to the Hotel Tassel in Brussels.

This mansion was designed by the Belgian architect Victor Horta and it marks the beginning of Art Nouveau. It was built for Emile Tassel, professor at the ULB, and dates from the period 1893-1894. It was the first important building that Horta built after he had established himself as an independent architect.

Horta was also immediately successful with this house and won other commissions, such as the Hotel Solvay and the Hotel van Eetvelde, which can also be visited.

The activity will take place on Sunday February 9 in the afternoon.

Access is limited and only open to small groups; it is a golden opportunity, a quick response is required and no later than February 2.
Registration is therefore necessary and we ask for a contribution of €5 per participant.
